Dwayne Wade Player Profile

Dwayne Wade is perhaps the most influential player in these finals

and there is little reason to doubt that whether Miami wins or lose is up to the play of the man wearing the number 3 jersey. Flash has the chance to achieve something really special and all signs suggest that he is more than capable of fulfilling the expectations surrounding him. In this finals series Wade has already made history by being one of only four guards to record at least 40 points and 10 rebounds in the June classic. The others? Players by the name of Jerry West, Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan. How bout that for some exulted company?

Here is a little rundown of some facts and figures for D-Wade:

Date of Birth: January 17 1982
Height: 193 cm
Draft: 2003 (5th Pick Overall)
Average Points per Game: 27.2
Average Rebounds per Game: 5.7
Average Assists Per game: 6.7

Achievements:

2 Time NBA All-Star
2 Time Selection for All-NBA Second Team
All-Defensive Second Team Selection in 2005

Off-Court:

GQ Magazine Best Dressed Player in the NBA
Model for P. Diddy’s clothing line Sean John
One of the 50 Most Beautiful People in People Magazine’s Annual List. For you Aussies out there no not that People magazine with the breasts!

Flash has come a long way in a short time span and is arguably better than his 2003 contemporaries such as LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Bosh. There is little argument that he is better than the number two pick that

year Darko Milicic, who will probably rank as one of the all time worst draft picks in NBA history.

If you look at Wade’s numbers and compare them to LeBron’s you would see that his statistics are more than adequate, while Wade is an infinitely more better defender than ‘Bron ‘Bron. Flash has also got to be one of the most explosive, dynamic and exciting players in the league. Wade is the type of player that other players in the league would pay to watch.

The writing was on the wall at how good Wade would be when he was in his final year in college at Marquette where he single-handedly took that team

all the way to the Final Four. Scouts should have seen the big game potential, and now there is an abundance of evidence of his pedigree for all the world to see.

If it wasn’t for Wade the Miami Heat would be on life support at the moment in the finals.

Wade seems to be emerging as the leader of the young brigade in the NBA and the league couldn’t have a better spokesperson. Young, talented, humble and photogenic – Flash is all that and a bag of Doritos.

yes... your text goes here, you fool.

The best dressed player? I hope that means he's got style and doesn't dress like a thug!

Definitely lovin the post specially since I luv D. wade so much . I could only watch live updates of the final game online through gamecast and almost had a heart attack just looking at the play by plays. Really wish I could have seen it on TV. But as always, great post!
