'Dirk Diggler' v 'Batman' and 'Robin' in NBA.

The Western Conference has been decided with Dallas winning in six
102-93 over the Suns. In essence the two teams in the finals aren’t my first choices for combatants, but at least it’s not the Spurs!
During this seasons playoff run Phoenix have come back from do or die games victorious, but they rolled the dice one too many times this time around – even though they looked like they may resurrect themselves from the dead once again.
The Suns came running out of the gate in the first quarter building up a 16 point lead, then an 18 point lead in the second, while looking the goods for a seventh, and deciding game in Dallas. To make matters worse for Dallas Dirk Diggler was having a horrendous first half.
Alas, it wasn’t to be for the plucky Suns because the wunderkind rediscovered his mojo scoring 16 of his 24 points in the second half. Furthermore, the Big Sauerkraut got great contributions from Josh Howard with 20 points, 15 rebounds, while, Jason Terry added 17 second half points, and finally Jerry Stackhouse scored 19 to send the Suns packing.
Boris Diaw had a massive game for Phoenix scoring 30, while everyone’s favourite, plucky, little Canadian had 19 points and nine assists, but to no avail. They were destined to be done and dusted.
Steve Nash and the Suns have had a wonderful year considering they were without their most talented player for the whole season. It is yet to be seen how Amare Stoudemire will come back from such an invasive surgery but is it too late for the Suns? Stevie Wonder’s time is surely approaching for a now or never run towards a title, and the Suns definitely need some big bodies to help with the banging down the post.
Dallas can look forward to their first finals appearance ever in franchise history, while the Big Sauerkraut will be trying to put an end to any lingering doubts over his talent and desire to win.
So, that is that dear reader. It’s a Heat versus Mavericks match-up and who will take their position in finals immortality? Will Wade live up to his great promise by becoming not only the most exciting player in the league, but the best as well? Will the Big Aristotle add one more chapter to an already storied
career? Or, will a tall, white, foreign guy who has broken the mould of how big men should play take his game to another stratosphere?
Perhaps, most pertinent: Will anyone care with the World Cup on the horizon?
These questions and more will be answered in due time. So, let’s get it on!
