Classic Commercials Featuring Our NBA Heroes.

A combination of living my own hoop dreams today, and a 4.30am bedtime due to Lleyton Hewitt and Marcos Baghdatis’ epic tennis match has robbed this writer the will to post something substantial. So, we here at NBALOUD are entitled to publish the occasional fluff piece.
Today’s post will focus on classic commercials featuring NBA players. Ah, some wonderful gems here.
Kicking things off is a commercial for a sneaker brand with a pump on its tongue. When this certain shoe first came on the market it caused quite a stir in the playgrounds – we wanted these shoes big time.
This ad is kickass because it features basketball luminaries such as Dominique Wilkins and Danny Ainge to name a couple players popping up in this ad.
Everyone would be familiar with the ‘I want to be like, Mike’ jingo for a sports drink company. It was immensely famous and popular. We had that ad here in Australia, but this other one for the same company is new for this writer at least.
Featuring Michael Jordan and woman’s soccer icon, Mia Hamm, this commercial is cute.
The final ad for today features Shaquille O’Neal and Hakeem Olajuwon spruiking fast food. We can tell over the years that the Diesel has indulged in some unhealthy eating habits. Maybe his downfall began with this commercial?
